KCVC Service Members - good evening, I hope this note finds you well. It has been an exciting Wednesday for the KCVC team, as we just found out that one of our first KCVC members was recently hired!
Like any military mission, we debriefed with the individual to find out what worked with our process. His #1 recommendation was ensuring every member uses the full capabilities of the KCVC. Meaning the resume review, mock interview(s) and mentoring.
We personally watched as this individual moved through the KCVC. His professional network expanded exponentially as a result of the mentoring and mock interview process. We have seen several other KCVC members replicate this success by receiving invites to the HQ's following these programs.
As a result, we are recommending that all members work through the entire "KCVC Loop" (1. Resume Review, 2. Mock Interview(s), 3. Mentoring). I've updated the webpage under "The KCVC Process" on the homepage for reference.
Finally, we want to reemphasize that our program is not a "one and done" resource. We fully expect and welcome multiple mock interviews and meetings with various mentors. These resources are here to get our Veterans hired, whatever it takes!
In closing, we are excited for this recent hire because it reinforces the KCVC mission. We combined the translated resume, with the expanding network and mock interviews to create a competitive service member for corporations.
Please explore the additional options on the KCVC homepage. Most importantly, please let us know if you have any questions. We're here to help!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
